Frederick neighborhood gathers to rejoice melting pot of Latino tradition | Frederick Neighborhood School

Males waved their sombreros and girls flapped their colourful skirts as they danced “Jarabe Tapatío,” or the Mexican hat dance, Sunday afternoon on the 14th Annual Latino Pageant.

“Jarabe Tapatío” is the nationwide dance of Mexico, and at Frederick Neighborhood School, spectators had been clapping and a few had been dancing alongside as they watched the pairs weave by one another.
